We are located in the heart of the bustling, scenic village of Ambleside, a perfect spot to experience all the beauty and attractions of The Lake District.
We are within easy walking distance from the many shops, restaurants and bars that Ambleside has to offer, from real ale pubs to excellent fine dining.
Many of the cafes and pubs in Ambleside are dog and muddy boot friendly.
If you want to venture further afield, the bus stop is less than a 5 minute walk away, with regular buses running through to Windermere and Bowness, Grasmere and Keswick.
Surrounded on all sides by the beautiful Lake District scenery, we are perfectly placed for walking, hiking and mountain biking straight from the door. We are only a few minutes from the start of the popular Fairfield Horseshoe route and Wansfell pike, or for a more leisurely walk, Rydal Waters is only a few miles stroll along well trodden footpaths. You can also follow the old Coffin Route through to Grasmere, on an undulating path that brings you out by Dove Cottage and the Wordsworth Museum. In the other direction it is only a short walk to Lake Windermere.
We are easy to find, located just next door to the famous Old Bridge House, an Ambleside relic from the 17th Century.
Follow the A591 to Ambleside. Coming from the North, we are the first right turn after the mini roundabout. Coming from the South, keep left in the one way system and we are the first left turn after the traffic lights and The Apple Pie Café and Bakery.
