Covid 19 Update 02/06/21

It has been fantastic welcoming customers back following the reopening of our rooms on the 17th May. With things starting to return closer to normal we have decided to add back some of our personal touches whilst staying at Rooms at The Apple Pie.

Items removed from the rooms such as wine glasses, bottle openers, hair driers, cushions and throws will now all be back in the room. Our communal milk fridge, honesty bar and local leaflets are back in the entrance hallway with guests asked to sanitiser their hands prior to use.

We have also ceased using our antiviral fogging machine however we are still carrying out additional cleaning with antiviral spray.

In line with government guidance all customers are required to wear a face covering when in the property’s communal areas. Hand sanitiser is available for use on entry.

Check in is from 3pm with guests required to check out by 10am.

We are not yet carrying out tides during your stay, but guests can request clean towels, tea tray top-ups and anything else required from reception between 10am and 5pm.

We hope the above measures will not impact your stay and will keep you updated on changes further down the line.

Enjoy!

Local restrictions tiers, what you need to know?

The government is next planning to update the local restriction tiers on the 16th of December.

....and you are in tier 3 or 4 , we will be happy to transfer your booking to a future date.

....and you are in tier 2 and you wish to cancel, we will try to resell your room, if we are successful we will transfer your deposit to a future date.

....and you are in tier 1, our normal terms and conditions will apply.

If your booking is not before the next update, our normal terms and conditions will apply.

Before your arrive, what you need to know?

At the Rooms at the Apple Pie we have taken some precautions on the site to ensure your safety but we must stress that you are visiting at your own risk and are responsible for your own behaviour during your stay. We have taken measures to mitigate the risks but not eliminate them and we cannot be held responsible for other people’s behaviour.

We have undertaken a comprehensive risk assessment and we have made some changes which will affect your stay.

Do not leave home if you or anyone in your household has symptoms of Covid 19.

We are asking all guests to use hand sanitiser on entering the property. Hand sanitiser will be available next to the key box found by the entrance.

All guests will be required to wear face coverings when in the stair well and the reception area.

We have invested in a fogging machine to spray all rooms before check- in with an antiviral mist.

For the safety of our guests and staff we will not enter your room during your stay. This means we will not carry out tidies and any refreshment of tea, coffee, sugar etc will be handed out from reception between 10am-1pm & 2pm-4pm. Also, fresh towels can also be requested during these hours. We will now provide UHT milk in the rooms and will have fresh milk available on request from the reception.

We have also decided to remove all non-essential items from our rooms, including wine glasses, bottle openers, hair dryers and shaving adapters from the rooms, however these will be available from reception on request.

To allow time for extra cleaning we have altered check in and check out times. Check in will be from 3pm and check out before 10am.

To help maintain social distancing, we have installed a mirror on the stairs. We ask guests to give people entering the building or ascending the stairs the right of way. E.g. If you meet someone in the stairwell, return to your room until they have passed. Please keep time in the hallway and stair well to a minimum.

We can only check one party in at once, if someone is at reception, we ask you to please wait for them to depart before entering the building.

Unfortunately, we will no longer be able to hold luggage on the premises before check in and following check out.

The Apple Pie for the lastest information regarding the cafe please click here.

Due to the rapidly changing Government guidelines the precautions given above may alter prior to your stay and we will do our best to keep you updated.
