This stone built traditional barn was originally converted in the early 90's retaining many character features typical of a Cumbrian farm building and has just been fully renovated and updated early 2012.
It has one ground floor superking bedroom ensuite with shower (with prior arrangement twin configuration possible). The living areas and master bedroom are on the first floor. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed with bath and overhead shower ensuite. There is an open plan living/dining kitchen area (smart TV, CD player with ipod dock, log burner and Wi-Fi broadband access). And space in the hall for storing outdoor gear.
We sometimes offer a reduced rate for 2 guests in low season. This would be shown on the reservations page as a max occupancy of 2 people.
*Please note that when booked for 2 guests - the ground floor superking ensuite will be closed off.
We also offer short stays of a minimum of 3 nights - this is only available in low season and depending on availability. (Search for 3 nights with check in on a Friday.)
The barn offers comfortable, stylish and cosy accommodation in any season of the year. Gas central heating. There is room to sit outside on the small enclosed patio (garden table and chairs provided) as well as shared gardens opposite the front entrance.
We currently allow a maximum of 2 dogs per property at an additional cost per dog. Please enter the quantity when making your booking.
There is access to a shared utility room adjacent to the farm - this is furnished with a washed and dryer.
The Barn has parking for two cars. Enjoy views down the valley and across towards the high tops. Shop, pubs, cafes, eating out and local supplies in Grasmere village 0.5mile.
We require a 30% deposit (which is non-refundable) to confirm a booking and the balance is payable 2 weeks prior to your arrival.
